Role overview

The Digital Events Volunteer is an unpaid position that plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in supporting SUN’s organizing and community engagement work. This volunteer helps ensure events are accurately listed across platforms and that attendance data is properly tracked so organizers can follow up with community members and build lasting relationships.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and excited to support clean energy and grassroots engagement through digital tools.

Reports to: Organizing Manager

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours/day, twice a week, 6 month commitment

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities

  • Event Setup & Management
    • Support organizers by adding and updating events in Mobilize
    • Assist with creating and managing corresponding Zoom event

  • Attendance Tracking & Data Support
    • Assist with organizing and tracking event attendance
    • Enter attendance data into designated tracking systems
    • Flag missing or unclear information for follow-up
Qualifications

Qualifications & skills

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Comfort using digital platforms 
  • Reliable and able to meet agreed-upon commitments
  • Interest in clean energy, community organizing, or nonprofit work
