West Virginia’s EV adoption rate continues to increase. There are 3,300 plug-in electric vehicles registered in the state, as of 2022. The state does not offer EV owners any electric vehicle incentives or exemptions from high-occupancy Vehicle (HOV) restrictions or annual inspections.

Electric vehicles and charging stations are accessible throughout West Virginia, with 143 charging station locations.
