Imagine walking into a solar company’s office with 20+ of your neighbors and saying, “We all want to get solar. What kind of deal can you give us?” That’s a solar co-op!

A Neighbors Co-op is a group of neighbors who team up to learn together and support each other throughout the process of installing solar on their home. It’s free to join, member-driven, and designed to make the process of installing residential solar easier and more affordable. Neighbors Co-ops are led by local community leaders and supported by Solar United Neighbors. Co-op members receive support before, during, and after installing solar and have access to SUN’s unbiased resources and expert staff.

Polo Trace is a gated community of single family homes in west Delray Beach, Florida. The older section, called the Preserve, has 389 original single-family homes built in the 1990 and 324 newer homes built in 2021. Interested homeowners living within any part of Polo Trace are welcome to join this co-op.

The Polo Trace Neighbors Co-Op is a group of residents interested in exploring options to save money on going solar. By organizing together, our 700+ home community can negotiate significantly better pricing, streamline HOA approvals, and make going solar easier for all of us.

This is not a commitment to purchase. It is a first step toward gathering interest, engaging qualified installers, and evaluating whether a group deal makes financial sense for our community.
