Tucson 2021 Solar Co-op
System Size: 16kW
Why did you decide to go solar?
Environmental concerns, mainly.
Did anything surprise you about the process of going solar?
What surprised us is that nothing went wrong!
Why did you choose to go solar with Solar United Neighbors?
Initially we were really intimidated. It’s hard to weed through all the disinformation. Having support from the co-op made the world of a difference, and we felt totally safe to move forward.
What benefits did you experience going solar with a co-op?
Having support. Having experts there to answer questions and sort through any bad information.
Do you have any data about your solar system performance? What electricity savings have you seen since going solar?
Our first electricity bill was $0.00
What advice would you give to someone considering going solar?
Join the co-op and if you can, participate in the selection committee.
Anything else you’d like to add?
We decided not to go with LG because they are no longer being produced. Because of this we had to get one less panel, but overall it was worth it.
