Energy Champion Program Application

Thank you for your interest in our Energy Champion  Program!
This program is designed to empower nonprofit staff, community-based organizations (CBOs), small businesses and community leaders to drive a just and equitable energy transition in their communities. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the unique needs of each state, building a collective understanding of energy democracy and providing practical tools for action. Please note that the training consists of 5 modules, each lasting approximately 2 hours. The modules will be delivered over 5 weeks.

Through generous grants from our funders, we are able to offer this program free of charge to community members and individuals who work for non-profit organizations. Applicants coming from for profit companies or large non-profit organizations with a training budget will be asked to pay a sliding scale fee for their participation. We use this sliding scale model as an invitation to practice honest reflection on scarcity and abundance and determine the contribution that feels true and just.

We ask that people with access to more resources contribute more so that SUN can make our trainings more accessible to those with less resources.
