Glen Brand
As Vice-President of Policy and Advocacy, Glen leads SUN’s strategic policy vision and oversees our state and federal advocacy efforts. Before coming to SUN, he served on the staff of several national and state environmental and labor organizations. For more than a decade, Glen worked for the national Sierra Club on clean energy, and sustainable transportation and land use solutions. He co-founded and directed the Sierra Club’s national “Cool Cities” campaign, a grassroots effort to advocate for local climate solutions.
Glen has been quoted in national media outlets including the New York Times, Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, and the Los Angeles Times, and he has been a guest speaker on clean energy issues in the U.S. and abroad. A Florida native, he is an avid kayaker, bicyclist, and amateur jazz musician.
