Cory Chase

West Virginia Program Associate

Cory grew up in the mountains of Canaan Valley, WV, and has a background in nonprofits and organizing. He’s passionate about environmental justice and addressing the impacts of energy “sacrifice zones” like West Virginia and Appalachia. He worked his tail off campaigning for the WV House of Delegates in 2018 and 2020. Cory believes that solar power is a wise way for rural Americans to gain more energy independence and resiliency.

Cory currently lives in beautiful Dryfork, WV. When he is not working at SUN, he enjoys drumming and making beats, gardening, permaculture, preserving food, recreating outdoors around Tucker County with his daughter and their blue heeler, and volunteering for Company 30, the Canaan Valley Volunteer Fire Department.
