Amanda Ortiz
Amanda supports the Puerto Rico program and helps coordinate its efforts. In the past, she worked with the government of Puerto Rico, where she assisted different legislators in their fight for social justice. She also volunteered in different movements to further advance local causes, including the fight against climate change and the protection of their natural resources. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puerto Rico in Public Relations and Publicity with a Minor in Political Science. Soon after, she finished her Masters in Social Policies and Community Action and a Specialization Degree in Human Rights and Territories. Amanda started out as a SUN Fellow, and she’s excited to continue helping different communities in Puerto Rico transition to solar energy and to obtain the tools to fight for their energy rights.
