Roger Sikes

Policy and Advocacy Campaigner (IN, OH, PA, WV)

Roger organizes Solar United Neighbors’ policy and advocacy work in the Heartland Region of Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Roger led labor and community organizing efforts in Ohio and Georgia – building strong coalitions to amplify the power of working families. While working through a public health department, he coordinated policy initiatives related to gun violence prevention, grocery store implementation and fair housing. He co-chairs his neighborhood block club and is a board member of Neighborhood Leadership Institute, which builds local leaders and participatory governance in Cleveland.

Roger is passionate about making solar more relevant to working families and communities. He went solar in 2018 through a SUN co-op after being inspired by a conversation with his neighbor who had solar panels on her roof.

Roger holds a Master of Public Health degree from Emory University and resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
