Northern Arizona Solar Co-op releases RFP, announces Solar 101s
The 15-member (with a goal of 150) Northern Arizona Solar Co-op today issued a request for proposals (RFP) from area solar installers. The group members created the co-op to save money and make going solar easier, while building a network of solar supporters. Co-op partners include the City of Flagstaff, the City of Sedona, and Coconino Couty.
The group also announced it will host a virtual Solar 101 on Wednesday, October 16, at 6 p.m. via Zoom, to educate the community about solar and the co-op process. To learn more about the event, click here. In late October, there will also be in-person Solar 101s in Flagstaff and Sedona. Flagstaff, Sedona, and rural Coconino County residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up on the co-op web page.

The solar co-op is free to join and joining is not a commitment to purchase panels. Co-op members will select a single company to complete all of the installations. They will then have the option to purchase panels individually based on the installer’s group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, members can save on the cost of going solar, as well as have the support of fellow group members and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
