Federal Tax Credit
The Qualified Plug-In Electric Drive Motor Vehicles tax credit, is a one-time federal income tax credit valued up to $7,500 on EVs purchased new in or after 2010.
The Qualified Two-Wheeled Plug-In Electric Drive Motor Vehicle tax credit offers a tax credit of 10% of the cost of an electric motorcycle, up to $2,500.
Pennsylvania Rebates
The Alternative Fuel Vehicle Rebate program offers a rebate of $750 for a battery electric vehicle, and $500 for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and E-motorcycles. An additional $1,000 rebate is available to applicants who meet low-income requirements. Apply here.
The Pennsylvania Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charger rebate is available for level 2 electric vehicle charging equipment to businesses. Up to $4,000 or up to 80% of the total project cost (whichever is less), depending on the project type, is available.
Utility-Offered Cash Back in Centre County
FirstEnergy is offering its Centre County customers cash back on the purchase of a new 2022 Nissan LEAF and LEAF Plus. The $3,000 cash back is in addition to the federal tax credit.
