Why did you decide to go solar?

I’ve been working in the solar industry since 2005 and after approximately 10 years of experience once I purchased my first home I knew solar was right for me.

What was the process like for you? Did anything surprise you, or were there challenges you had to overcome?

No, I did not have any challenges because of my experience in the industry. I knew what I was getting into when making this investment.

Have any of your habits changed since going solar?

After going solar on my first house my family started growing. Once moved into my second home with a larger family, we decided to go solar yet again with a slightly larger to accommodate our household needs. Our family got even larger so we sold our second solar home and purchased a larger third home and put solar on that immediately as well and went with a larger system this time 11.6kw.

Have you seen electricity savings since going solar? If so, what have you been able to do with that savings?

I’ve seen significant savings monthly plus savings on my taxes due to the investment tax credit. Not only that I see savings on my electric bill, but the solar help sell my first two solar homes much quicker than homes without solar in the neighborhood and more than homes without solar. The sales of my solar homes allowed me to purchase my solar system at no expense to me.
