last day to join the co-op
Imagine walking into a solar company’s office with 50 or 100 of your neighbors and saying, “We all want to get solar. What kind of deal can you give us?”
That’s a solar co-op!
Thanks to chain stores and warehouse clubs, most consumers are well aware of the savings that come with massive buying power. It is also common for small businesses to band together and form co-ops to increase their purchasing power and compete more with larger businesses. But your savings do not need to be limited to buying an industrial package of paper towels or a five-gallon bucket of cleaner. It is time to think big and combine that with the desire to go green to protect our planet for future generations.
Imagine walking into a solar company’s office with 50 or 100 of your neighbors and saying, “We all want to get solar. What kind of deal can you give us?” As you might imagine, the solar company staff would be overjoyed to discuss your options, and those of the other 49 or 99 people in your group would be the next solar co-op!
As you might have already deduced, you and the other members of your group are likely to get some of the best pricing in the region from the solar company you visited. And if you want to get even more bang for your buck, you will reach out to several solar companies to express your interest in getting bids to provide all the installations and services needed by your group of like-minded consumers. However, it’s even better than that when your group reached out to the experts at Solar United Neighbors because we offer more than just great savings that come from buying as a co-op, such as:
- Info to help you understand solar. Our vendor-neutral solar experts are here to help you understand how solar works and make the best decision for your energy needs.
- We have no vendor affiliations or interest in any solar company.
- A direct line to ask specific questions. You can call or email us anytime you need help. We’ll be here now and long after you install solar.
- A team that solicits and reviews proposals from solar companies. First, Solar United Neighbors requests bids on your behalf. Then, a committee of your fellow co-op members meet to assess the pros and cons and select the best installer for the group. (Note: If that sounds interesting to you, you’re also welcome to join the selection committee! We are excited to see how many members have a genuine desire to learn about this planet-friendly energy and help promote the adoption of solar power by sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge with friends and neighbors.)
- Community. You’ll join the growing solar movement. You’ll have a built-in network of support and inspiration from others who, like you, are taking a stand for energy freedom and advancing the clean energy economy.
- A bigger impact! Going solar creates jobs, and puts energy production and its benefits back in the hands of the people and contributes to cleaner air and water for everyone. A solar co-op amplifies those outcomes exponentially. Life should always be about being a part of something bigger than just ourselves and helping promote and protect the good processes and resources for the planet.
